What does CL2 rating mean for cables

CL2 rating is for fire codes. When cables are " For In Wall Use" this refers to CL2 rating these cables which are received from Underwriters laboratories (UL).

It means these cables have a slow burning outer jacket and should meet the fire codes and are safe for in wall installations.CL2 rating does not affect the appearance or performance of the cable. If a cable is CL2 rated it can be used in or out of walls.
